A special centennial gala celebration follows SNH’s 100-year anniversary concert Momentum!, which marks the anniversary of its very first concert TO THE DAY on April 29, 1923. The event will take place at the Nashua Courtyard by Marriott following the concert at the new Nashua Center for the Arts! We hope you will join us for this fun-filled evening as we celebrate our 100th year and reveal insights into our much-anticipated 2023-24 season.

Doors Open at 2:30 PM
Saturday's concert is sold out! We strongly suggest arriving early with your entire party to ensure you are seated together. Please note that every seat is spoken for. Try not to leave single seats in between groups.

Pre-concert talk begins at 3 pm | Don't miss Symphony NH's pre-concert talk beginning at 3 pm with Music Director Roger Kalia, Executive Director Deanna Hoying, and featured guest artist Amit Peled.

Symphony NH marks the anniversary of its very first concert TO THE DAY at the new Nashua Center for the Arts! Join us for a concert featuring acclaimed cellist Amit Peled, who performed Dvořák’s Cello Concerto with SNH in 2001, followed by two works played on Symphony NH’s very first concert on April 29, 1923: a movement from Schubert’s “Unfinished” Symphony – and Strauss’s On the Beautiful Blue Danube, a piece that has stood the test of time. A special gala celebration and dinner follow with special guests. One of the social events of the season!

Tango & Titan – Piazzolla and Mahler

Spring is in the air – and so is passion! The evening begins with the modern, beautiful and poignant Suite from Maria de Buenos Aires - Ástor Piazzolla’s “little tango opera”. Next, experience Mahler like you never have before in an intimate arrangement of Titan for chamber ensemble. A joyous celebration of life in its final movement welcomes the end of the cold weather like no other concert can.

Mozart’s Requiem

Symphony NH’s collaborative spirit is on display in this sure-to-bring-the-house-down performance of one of the foremost and well-known choral works, Mozart’s Requiem. Joining SNH to perform the radiant Rex Tremendae and other stirring choral passages is none other than the Nashua Choral Society in a nod to SNH’s past when the two organizations performed together regularly. SNH and NCS are also joined by Nashoba Valley Chorale. Four rising singers from the area serve as soloists on this memorable afternoon.

Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings brings back the dance party theme, a la 1875 - after all, this season is all about celebrating 100 years of music as “the Symphonic sound of the Granite State!”

Symphony NH kicks off its 100th anniversary celebratory season with a musical tapestry incorporating historical and modern pieces and featuring works written about or in New Hampshire. Oliver Caplan’s Lunastella Fuga enfolds one in the magic of a simple summer night during a camping trip in New Hampshire. John Adams’ “Shaking and Trembling” from his Shaker Loops is a modern dance of dense, swirling sounds that juxtaposes beautifully with New Hampshirite Amy Beach’s renowned Bal Masque. Closing the evening is none other than Igor Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite, a brilliant work that put the composer on the map. Originally composed as a one-act ballet, SNH brings this scintillating, atmospheric and colorful Romanticism of this work to you in the compelling chamber music version - an absolute must hear, which promises to have you thinking about this work in a new light.
